Today I added a new category to the website. MADE IN USA. Now I have to tag each American made item that is on the site so that it will also appear in this most important category. It will probably take me a few days, but it's going to be cold outside this weekend and it will keep me out of trouble. ;-)

New sign line for 2012. Great quality with some unique options. One of the coolest for us, though not shown here, is a nice dimensional US Coast Guard sign. It's always harder to find that branch of the service and I like to have something for when the Coasties from Cape May visit the Boardwalk. This company is 100% Made In USA (Michigan)

Today I'm headed out for the last buying show of the Winter. Since this is a smaller show, I often find those little gems of companies that really believe in their product. The popular beach shack night lights and the engraved wooden signs (Never enough coffee was my favorite) both originated at this market. When I was looking at their exhibitor list, about 1/2 the companies are made in America!

Usually at the shop there is only sterling silver jewelry with mostly Celtic patterns. This year we are breaking out! These earrings are wooden and intricately laser cut into so many different designs. Shown here is one of my favorites! Flip flops for ears :) Made in USA (California)

Another new company for 2012! Forked Up Art items are made out of spoons and forks. Some are functional (like S&P, eyeglass or cellphone holder) and others are decorative, like the patriotic piece shown here. They will retail for about $25 each. MADE IN USA (Utah)

Rainy day here in Wildwood, but I'm excited to be getting ready for the buying show in New York. Lots of walking to do there! In fact, this year, out of curiosity, I'm taking my pedometer :)
